Video Clip Designations
In the Notes tab, the User can view video clips for any annotation or designation with an associated video. The Export tool can be used to customize video clips and gatheran estimated duration for a set of customized clips. The User can export a single video clip or a stitched-together compilation of video clips using the Filter box to customize the set. Exported clips are in either MPG or MP4 format.
NOTE: In order to export video clip designations, user must first need to create Designations within a transcript. Once portions of testimony have been designated, users can view all created designations by selecting the Designations option in the Notes tab. They can use the Filters to view designations created by the same author or within a single transcript only.
Export Single Video Clip
To export a single video clip, click on the Export clip button (downward arrow icon) and select the export file format.
Based on the chosen format, the system will generate either an MPG or MP4 file of the video clip for that annotation or designation.
Edit Video Clips
The User will be able to edit the clip as preferred by clicking on the Edit video clip button.
Use the (+) and (-) buttons, or slide the bar left or right, to assign start and end times for the video clip, and then Save.
Refining Video clips will save the changes, permanently, for every User. The changes will reflect after the User saves video clips.
Compilation Video Clips
The User can stitch multiple clips together into a single compilation clip to export. To customize the set of video clips to stitch, click on the options in the Filter box (e.g. transcripts, authors, designations).
Select the clips to include in the export by clicking on the checkbox:

This will not be included.
Once the set of notes/clips have been customized, click the Tools button and choose Export Video. A dialogue box will appear with the estimated duration for the selected clips and a drop-down option to select the preferred format of the exported video file.
Videos can be exported as a single continuous clip or as a set of individual clips. To export a set of individual clips, check Export as individual clips (zip). Click Export to complete the download.
Another dialogue box will appear confirming the export and asking to be redirected to the Export Manager page.
Click on OK to launch the Export Manager page.
Once the export progress has completed, the line will turn GREEN and provide a link to download the video. Click on the download link to complete the export.
