Consolidated Release Notes for Versions 7.15, 7.16 & 7.17

Overview

    Opus 2 is pleased to announce its new releases of the Opus 2 platform. These releases include quality-of-life             changes and a number of defect resolutions.

 

User Experience Improvements

    Password visibility on Login screen

Users can now toggle the visibility of the password being entered on the login screen via an eye-icon next to the Password field.


    Memorable word no longer auto-capitalises (iPad only) 

When accessing the platform via an iPad, iOS will not longer auto-capitalise the memorable word characters entered by the user.


    Document Reference on Toolbar 

Users can now see key metadata—such as Bundle, Tab, and Pages—right on the Document Viewer toolbar. This reference updates dynamically as you scroll and can be copied with a single click, making it easier to track document details without opening additional menus.

    Copy & Highlight Modes for Transcripts 

  • Copy Mode: A new "Copy Mode" lets users easily copy transcript text, with the option to include the document name and pagination for better context.
  • Highlight Mode: Users can now highlight transcript text and apply color-coded tags, making it easier to categorize and retrieve annotations. Recently used tags can also be saved for quick access.

    Redaction Tool Visibility Fix 

The redaction tool is now always available in the Document Viewer when redaction is enabled, ensuring users can properly redact sensitive content without needing to troubleshoot missing options.

    Hyperlinked Export Navigation Fix

When opening a document from an exported hyperlink, it will now correctly navigate to the intended page instead of defaulting to the first page.


Workspace & Admin Enhancements

User Management

    Bulk Role Updates for Admins 

    Admins can now update user roles in bulk directly from the Admin > Users page. This saves time when managing     large teams and simplifies administrative workflows.


  Metadata & Workspace Management

    Metadata Import Improvements

  • The Auto_Bundle_Tab field now updates correctly when importing metadata, even if the Tab or Bundle columns are missing from the import file.
  • Mirror workspaces now properly sync Auto_Bundle_Tab metadata, ensuring consistency across primary and mirror environments. 


Workspace Character Limit Enforcement

When creating a new workspace, Case Code and Party names are now limited to 100 characters. This prevents unintended naming issues and ensures consistency across workspaces.


Reporting & Integrations

    New Reporting Features

      Tracking Document Pushes to Magnum  

    Admins can now track the status of documents pushed from:

  • Relativity to Magnum
  • Transfer to Magnum

    These reports include metadata, success/failure status, and error descriptions to help troubleshoot any issues.


CSV Export for Push Reports 

    Push reports from Relativity to Magnum and Transfer to Magnum can now be exported as CSV files for offline     analysis.


DOCX Index Export Improvements

    The DOCX index export now processes multiple folders more reliably, even when some documents are missing a     document type.


System & Stability Enhancements

Dashboard & Navigation

System Dashboard Visual Tweaks 

    We’ve made visual improvements to the System Dashboard for better readability and easier navigation of                 workspaces.

Admin Dashboard Display Fix 

    Previously, some admins experienced a blank screen when loading the admin dashboard. This issue has been         resolved, restoring full access to admin functions.


Search & Performance

Find Tool Stability Improvements 

    The "Find" tool in the document and transcript viewer has been optimized to prevent browser freezing and                 unintended logouts during searches.


Bug Fixes

Documents & Transcripts

✅ Fixed an issue where PDF documents would sometimes not display content after a deployment update. 

✅ Fixed a bug that caused annotated text to be missing from Notes export reports. 

✅ Transcripts now properly export designation highlights as they appear in the viewer. 

Metadata & Permissions

✅ Pagination updates now correctly preserve metadata for excluded documents. 

✅ Tag shortcuts now immediately apply when creating new tags, eliminating the need for an extra edit.
